The Playground of Grace

A Summer Series where Rest, Joy, and God Meet

 

This summer, we’re stepping into a holy invitation: to rest deeply, to play freely, and to rediscover the God who delights in our delight. Playground of Grace is an 11‑week journey shaped by the wisdom of Leonard Sweet’s The Well‑Played Life and Kirk Byron Jones’s Holy Play - two voices who remind us that joy is not childish, rest is not optional, and play is not frivolous. They are spiritual practices that open us to God.

 

Each week, we’ll explore a different facet of holy rest and holy play - from Sabbath to creativity, from wonder to renewal — through scripture, music, story, and embodied practices.  Along the way, we’ll also offer simple Playful Gatherings: low‑stress, intergenerational moments of delight that help us practice what we’re preaching. Think ice cream, group outings, games, relaxation, and the kind of laughter that loosens the soul.

 

This season is for anyone who is tired, curious, hopeful, overwhelmed, playful, or longing for a gentler way to live. Come as you are. Bring your whole self. Let’s discover together how grace meets us - not only in our work and worry, but in our rest, our joy, and our play.
